چکیده
This study evaluated the effect of growing site environmental conditions on apple fruit quality. Experimental orchards with ‘Gala’ and ‘Fuji’ strains were established in subtropical humid climate Southern Brazil, between 26° 28°S, sites São Joaquim, Caçador Vacaria, located 1415, 960, 971 m, respectively, above sea level. Fruit quality was assessed at harvest after storage from 5th through 8th year planting. At each site, apples harvested one maturity stage stored a controlled atmosphere (CA). two stages, early air late CA. For Joaquim compared those average temperature during season lower whereas number winter chilling hours days bloom to higher. weight red skin area higher russeting index coldest (São Joaquim) for both cultivars. harvest, flesh firmness starch or same as warmest (Caçador Vacaria), depending cultivar date. The rate loss greater cultivars maturities. Titratable acidity (TA) soluble solids content (SSC) when analysis performed. Although produced all three equally affected by external fungal decay, had highest incidence Glomerella cingulata spot. length/diameter ratio watercore developed more CO2 injury diffuse browning. External decay maturity, but an advanced maturity. shows influence growth development need adjust production practices achieve high based pre-harvest environment.

The effects of crystal (transparent) and black nets on the protection of fruits from hail, the interception of light, temperature, humidity and fruit quality were evaluated over four seasons (from 2000 to 2003) at the IRTA-Experimental Station, Lleida (NE-Spain) on ‘Mondial Gala’ apples (Malus x domestica Borkh.). Nets demonstrated their effi ciency for fruit protection against hail; decreased ...

Objectives: The goals of this 4-year project were extended gradually from developing alternative apple coatings to three additional goals: (1) Evaluate flavor of major apple varieties using GC and electronic nose during CA storage and simulated marketing for documentation of changes due to storage time, temperature, atmosphere, and 1-MCP pre-treatment (to determine flavor life as opposed to she...

To evaluate whether iron concentration in TYM medium influence on hydrogenosomal enzyme gene expression and hydrogenosomal membrane potential of Trichomonas vaginalis, trophozoites were cultivated in irondepleted, normal and iron-supplemented TYM media. The mRNA of hydrogenosomal enzymes, such as pyruvate ferredoxin oxidoreductase (PFOR), hydrogenase, ferredoxin and malic enzyme, was increased ...

In this research, an apparatus was designed and constructed in order to simulate the storage behavior of hand-woven carpet under different environmental conditions. Silk hand-woven carpet (“Gom”) with 115×75 cm dimensions and 102×97 knot per 10 cm was selected and then inserted into the packing simulator with two different laying configurations including flat and folded....
متن کاملGrowing Quality Forages under Variable Environmental Conditions
Forage age and maturity generally have a larger influence on forage quality than environmental factors. Plant environment, however, cause deviations in forage quality even when harvested at the same maturity. Temperature usually has greater influence on forage quality than other environmental factors. Although increasing temperature normally hastens maturity, the primary effect may be through i...
